Marcom Connect SAS is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

These Terms of use & Privacy Policy provide you with information of how we collect and process your personal data when you use our applications or our websites including any information you may provide when you complete an online inquiry or support form or sign up for our newsletter.

This notice governs our data collection, processing and usage practices. By using our websites or our applications, you consent to the data practices described in this document.

3. Use of our applications by Event Organizers (our clients)

3.1 Marcom Applications

Marcom provides web & mobile solutions, which are contracted by event organizers (our clients). Our clients use our applications to manage various aspects of their events. Marcom is the data processor while our client is the data controller who is responsible for your data.

3.2 Use of Marcom Applications

Our clients use our applications to manage events. This includes but is not limited to building an event mini-website, registering and collecting information about participants, providing networking and appointment scheduling facilities to participants, printing an event catalog which may include a list of participants, generating badges…

Marcom does not control the content or the type of information that our clients choose to collect using our applications. That information belongs to them (as data controller) and is used, disclosed and protected by them according to their own privacy policy.

Marcom processes information in accordance with our agreement with our clients. Our agreement with our clients prohibits us from using that information except as necessary to provide the service contracted. Our clients control and are responsible for correcting, deleting or updating information they have collected from you using our applications. Marcom works closely with its clients to comply with regulations and assist them with data collection, processing and usage.

4. Information we collect

4.1 When you visit our websites

You can visit our websites without providing any information about yourself. For very specific purpose you may however have to provide personal information. We also collect navigational information.

4.2 Personal information

This refers to any information that you voluntarily submit and that identifies you personally. This includes your name, job title, email address, company name & address, phone number or other information about yourself or your business.

4.3 Navigational information

This refers to information about your device and your visit to our websites such as IP address, geographical location, browser type, referral source, length of visit, pages viewed…

5. How we use information we collect

5.1 We do not sell your information

We never sell your private information to third parties.

5.2 Information collected via our applications

Information collected by our clients, who have contracted our service, belongs to them and is not used by Marcom for other purpose than to provide and improve the service contracted.

5.3 Information collected via our websites

You can leave your personal information on our websites for various reasons such as subscribing to our newsletter or requesting demo/more information about our services.

Marcom will use this data to contact you as well as send you more information related to our business. We may also send you regular updates about or services or general information about our company.

5.4 Customer Testimonials & comments

We post customer testimonials and comments which may contain personal information on our website and applications. Marcom obtains written consent prior to posting such information.

5.5 Service providers

We do rely on third party providers for some services. In such cases, those companies are responsible for processing your data and we are the data controller in charge of your data.

5.6 Security of your personal information

We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. This includes but is not limited to hosting data on a secure server with SSL encryption of communication.

5.7 External websites and Social Media

Our websites & applications provide links to other websites. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the content or practices of other websites. Displaying those links, does not constitute an endorsement of these websites.

5.8 International transfer of information

To facilitate our global operation, we may transfer and access personal information from around the world including the USA.

5.9 Merger & Acquisition

If Marcom (or our assets) is acquired by another company, whether by merger, acquisition, bankruptcy or otherwise, that company would receive all information gathered by Marcom through our websites and applications.

5.10 Compelled disclosure

We reserve the right to use or disclose your personal information if required by law or if we reasonably believe that use or disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or to comply with a law, court order, or legal process.

If your request is related to information that has been collected using an application contracted by our clients, we will pass on your requests to the data controller (our clients) who is responsible for your data.
